Magpie Fledgling

I found a couple little birds that seem to have been stranded on the ground after an unsuccessful first flight attempt. The brazen little things came right up to my feet and peered at me quizzically. Their fearlessness let me get some REALLY close up pictures, but unfortunately my camera battery died just as I was getting the hang of it.

The parents were squawking quite a bit at me getting so close, but luckily I never got divebombed!

This one's my favorite picture, it seems to perfectly display the little bird's frustration at how to get back up its tree.
